Aquaculture UK Conference comes to Stirling
Aquaculture UK Conference 2017 comes to Stirling to discuss the future development of the UK aquaculture industry.
Running from 13 to 15 June, the event offers an opportunity for networking and bringing research and industry bodies together to meet decision-makers and plan the future of the industry.
The Institute of Aquaculture is delighted to have our Director Professor Herve Migaud chairing the first session of the conference which focuses on Production Innovation. As leader of the Breeding and Genetic Improvement team, Professor Migaud is perfectly placed to chair such an interesting area of discussion.
Other staff within the Institute are also presenting, including Dr Andrew Davie, who is doing a talk on “Diversification of farmed species in the UK: What is the evidence for success or failure?”, Dr Matthew Sprague talking about “New developments in salmon and trout nutrition” and John Bostock, MSc Aquaculture Programme Director, discussing Aquaculture education and training.
